Delaney Jones has just walked off a reality dating show without a ring and with her reputation in pieces. Miles Bailey is a small town artist quietly trying to make his creative dreams stick. When these two strangers stumble into a marriage of convenience, it shouldn't work on paper, but Jen Atkinson has a way of making it feel completely, warmly natural.

What makes this one stand out from the average MoC is the quiet depth hiding underneath its cozy rom-com surface. Miles and Delaney both carry real baggage, the kind that feels grounded and genuinely relatable rather than manufactured for dramatic effect. Watching them navigate their emotional histories alongside the sweetness of their arrangement gives the story a little more weight than you might expect walking in. The Bailey family warmth is a particular highlight, especially as Delaney gets her first real glimpse of what a loving, supportive family can actually look like.

That said, three stars feels right here. It's a solid, feel-good read that does exactly what it sets out to do, and Miles himself is an absolute sweetheart you'll want to root for from page one. If marriage of convenience is a trope you already love and you're in the mood for something cozy and grounded, this one will likely hit the spot.
